Margaret A. She has over 12 years of experience in labor grievance and arbitration matters, collective bargaining, and employment law—gained from working both as a union official and as a management representative. She also has significant public sector and federal labor relations experience in all areas of collective bargaining.

Deputy National Grievance Chair for IFPTE, Judicial Council 1, AALJ from 2022 to 2025. Represented bargaining unit members in all grievance and labor arbitration proceedings. Engaged in interest-based bargaining with agency management on the national and regional level.  

Administrative Law Judge for the Social Security Administration from 2009 to 2025. Adjudicated thousands of due process hearings.

Assistant Regional Counsel for the Social Security Administration from 2001 to 2009.  Represented SSA in all aspects of its litigation practice including federal court appeals and before labor arbitrators, the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Per Diem$1,200 / day or current regulatory maximum as defined in Rule 621-14.4
Postponement / CancellationFee charged for each day postponed or cancelled within 21 days of hearing. 
Additional ChargesReasonable, actual travel expenses as incurred, including air, car (rental or mileage) and/or hotel.  Travel is billed from the Iowa border.  I do not charge for administrative time or related expenses.
